Sunday, Aug 5th from 12-3p
This class is all about pickling and cocktails! We’ll teach you everything you need to know about preserving hand made pickles and beginner canning. We’ll be teaching you how to pickle cherries! Rosemary Mead Cherries are a sweet seasonal pickle perfect for snacking and cocktails (which is why we’ve got to have cocktails at this class!). Everyone walks out with a jar of Rosemary Mead Cherries that they make that day and the recipe.
We will also be learning how to make specially crafted Summer Manhattan Cocktails using Rosemary Mead Cherries! Taylor, founder of Nightcap Productions, will be teaching us how to make the perfect cocktail, with plenty for sipping. Taylor has been crafting and slinging drinks for many years in the area and is well known for it! You’ll be going home with the recipe to recreate this drink at home.
In the class we will go over local agriculture and nutrition, how sustainability directly affects our health and our community, canning supplies, myths, methods and step by step procedures. You'll be emailed a booklet with everything mapped out in detail to help you begin urban canning small batches on your own!
The class is held at The Urban Canning Kitchen and taught by founder, Illene Sofranko. Address is 1040 4 St. N in St. Pete!
This class is $85 and there are 14 seats available!
*If you need to cancel your seat, you must do so at least 48 hours before the class takes place. If not contacted 48 hours before canceling, the purchase cannot be refunded or transferred to another class. Thanks!
