Make taco nights epic! In this two hour hands on class we’ll be teaching you everything you need to know about at home pickle canning. We’ll be creating and canning 3 half pint jars of taco toppings including; Honey Chili Radishes, Corn Salsa + Mexicali Carrots! Everyone will walk out with lots of knowledge and 3 half pint jars of taco toppings we canned during the class!
In the class we will go over local agriculture and nutrition, how sustainability directly affects our health and our community, canning supplies, myths, methods and step by step procedures. You'll be emailed a booklet with everything mapped out in detail to help you begin urban canning small batches on your own!
The class is held at The Urban Canning Kitchen and taught by founder, Illene Sofranko. Address is 1040 4 St. N in St. Pete!
