Beginner Canning: Honey Mustard

It’s the beginning of the holiday bustle, family dinners, parties with friends, and delicious food! This class is all about making the perfect honey mustard! Whether you want to glaze the perfect ham, create unforgettable appetizers or gift the hostess something a little extra special, honey mustard is the way to go. We’ll teach you everything you need to know about preserving and canning hand made mustard. Everyone will walk away with lots of food preservation knowledge and a custom labeled jar of honey mustard we make during the class.

In the class we will go over local agriculture and nutrition, how sustainability directly affects our health and our community, canning supplies, myths, methods and step by step procedures. You'll be emailed a booklet with everything mapped out in detail to help you begin urban canning small batches on your own! 

The class is held at The Urban Canning Kitchen and taught by founder, Illene Sofranko. Address is 1040 4 St. N in St. Pete!
