This class is all about jams and booze! Jam just tastes better when you add a little something extra to it. We'll teach you the difference between jelly, jams, chutneys, preserves and conserves. We will go over canning for beginners and we will create a booze infused jam together! During the class we will also teach you about which fruits pair best with which liquor, and we’ll have tastings! Everyone will walk away with lots of food preservation knowledge and a custom labeled jar of jam we make during the class.
In the class we will go over local agriculture and nutrition, how sustainability directly affects our health and our community, canning supplies, myths, methods and step by step procedures. You'll be emailed a booklet with everything mapped out in detail to help you begin urban canning small batches on your own!
