Beginner Canning: Preserved Nectarines with Orange + Cardamom

Nectarines are one of our favorite stone fruits! Fruit preserved in a light syrup can be used for so many things like snacking, in your morning yogurt, desserts and more! We’re taking a cozy tasting approach by adding cardamom and the brightness of orange peel. We’ll teach you everything you need to know about preserving and beginner canning. You will learn how to preserve nectarines in a light syrup with orange and cardamom! Everyone goes home with a jar of preserved fruit they made in class, and a recipe to try at home!

In the class we will go over local agriculture and nutrition, how sustainability directly affects our health and our community, canning supplies, myths, methods and step by step procedures. You'll be emailed a booklet with everything mapped out in detail to help you begin urban canning small batches on your own!
