This class is all about pickling and summer BBQs! We’ll be in middle of summer where the fruit is juicy and the grills are sizzling! We’ll teach you everything you need to know about preserving hand made pickles and beginner canning. You will learn the techniques for making everyone’s favorite condiments Everyone walks out with a jar of condiments that they make that day and three condiment recipes to try at home!
In the class we will go over local agriculture and nutrition, how sustainability directly affects our health and our community, canning supplies, myths, methods and step by step procedures. You'll be emailed a booklet with everything mapped out in detail to help you begin urban canning small batches on your own!
The class is held at The Urban Canning Kitchen and taught by founder, Illene Sofranko. Address is 1040 4 St. N in St. Pete!
