How to Ferment: Kimchi

Sunday June 24th from 12-2p

In this two hour hands on class you will learn some
at-home fermentation basics and we show you step by step instructions on how to make small batches of kimchi yourself. Everyone walks out with a jar of kimchi and lots of kimchi knowledge!

We will also have a sampling of fermenting foods and kombucha!

In the class we will go over local agriculture and nutrition, how sustainability directly affects our health and our community, canning supplies, myths, methods and step by step procedures. You'll be emailed a booklet with everything mapped out in detail to help you begin urban canning small batches on your own!

The class is held at The Urban Canning Kitchen and taught by founder, Illene Sofranko. Address is 1040 4 St. N in St. Pete!

The class is $45 and there are 14 seats available!
