Sunday, June 17th from 12-2p
This class is all about pickles and beer! We’ll teach you everything you need to know about preserving hand made pickles and beginner canning. We’ll be teaching everyone a beer pickle recipe and at the end of the class we’ll be having a beer tasting with pickle pairings! Everyone walks out with a jar of beer pickles that they make that day.
In the class we will go over local agriculture and nutrition, how sustainability directly affects our health and our community, canning supplies, myths, methods and step by step procedures. You'll be emailed a booklet with everything mapped out in detail to help you begin urban canning small batches on your own!
The class is held at The Urban Canning Kitchen and taught by founder, Illene Sofranko. Address is 1040 4 St. N in St. Pete!
