There's a ton of super simple appetizers you can throw together this season with our preserves and we're going to share a few more with you today!
The first is actually pretty much assembly only! Whether you are planning a game night, a bottle share, a holiday party or a Gilmore Girls A Year in the Life premier party, take my advice. Chop up some vegetables, put hummus in a bowl and throw artisanal pickles onto a wood platter and scatter parsley all over everything. Your friends will think you are SO FANCY! I used Sriracha Peppered Okra, Ginger Spiced Beets, Chili Fennel Brussels Sprouts and Vietnamese Carrots + Daikon Radishes!
The second is a dressed up goat cheese log! I took a store bought log of goat cheese, rolled it in crushed walnuts, then smothered the top with Caramel Apple + Sea Salt Jam! I served it on apple slices and seriously, it's one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted!
The third is sweet potato crisps with Cranberry Whiskey Clove Jam, blue cheese and chives. I preheated our oven to 250 degrees, used a mandolin and sliced a sweet potato very thinly and baked them in the oven for about 2 hours. Then I crumbled feta cheese on top. dolloped some jam over it and sprinkled them all with chives! So simple, and very tasty.
And last but not least, these fun little meat and cheese skewered bites! All I did was cut some cheese into cubes, rolled up ham, cut our Garlic Dill Habanero Pickles into chunks and then assembled them into cute little bite sized skewers!
