Beginner Jam Making: Strawberry Bourbon Vanilla

This class is all about jams! We'll teach you the difference between jelly, jams, chutneys, preserves and conserves! We will go over canning for beginners and we will create Strawberry Bourbon + Vanilla Jam together! Everyone will walk away with lots of food preservation knowledge and a jar of jam we make during the class.

In the class we will go over local agriculture and nutrition, how sustainability directly affects our health and our community, canning supplies, myths, methods and step by step procedures. You'll be emailed a booklet with everything mapped out in detail to help you begin urban canning small batches on your own! You'll also take home a jar of jam we create during the class!

The class is held at The Urban Canning Kitchen and taught by founder, Illene Sofranko. Address is 1040 4 St. N in St. Pete!
