Beginner Jam Making: Blackberry Honey Jack

55.00

Sunday, June 24th, 12-2:30p

Learn how to make blackberry jam with blackberries fresh from Bramble Creek Farms in Brooksville. You love our seasonal release of Blackberry Honey Jack jam, so we decided to teach you how to make it at home! We'll teach you the difference between jelly, jams, chutneys, preserves and conserves! We will go over canning for beginners and we will create Blackberry Honey Jack together! Everyone will walk away with lots of food preservation knowledge and a jar of jam we make during the class.

In the class we will go over local agriculture and nutrition, how sustainability directly affects our health and our community, canning supplies, myths, methods and step by step procedures. You'll be emailed a booklet with everything mapped out in detail to help you begin urban canning small batches on your own!

The class is held at The Urban Canning Kitchen and taught by founder, Illene Sofranko. Address is 1040 4 St. N in St. Pete!

This class is $55 and there are 14 seats available!

*If you need to cancel your seat, you must do so at least 48 hours before the class takes place. If not contacted 48 hours before canceling, the purchase cannot be refunded or transferred to another class. Thanks!
