Beginner Jam + Sourdough Donut Making Class

This class is all about donuts and jam! We've partnered up with Alevri Marketplace to bring you this collaborative class you won't want to miss! 

We'll teach you the difference between jelly, jams, chutneys, preserves and conserves! We will go over canning for beginners and we will create a Strawberry Jam together! Then we'll go over the basics of beginning a sourdough starter and how to turn that starter into a delicious donut! 

Everyone will walk away with lots of food preservation knowledge, a jar of jam we make during the class as well as your sourdough starter and instructions. We'll also get to eat the donuts we fry together!

Tempeh Workshop with St Pete Ferments

Saturday, February 24th, 12-2p

In this two hour class, you will learn the basics of making and storing your own raw fermented tempeh at home. For this workshop, we will demonstrate using non-soy beans. We will use the spore Rhizopus Oligosporus, the culture required to inoculate the beans. While fermenting tempeh is easy, it does require careful attention. You will be equipped with knowledge from the class, a set of tempeh making instructions, plus some spores to get you started at home!
